The Planeteer Alliance website (“Website”) and HiveBrite Community Platform (“Community Platform”) are owned and managed by Young Heroes, LLC (“Young Heroes”) which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Captain Planet Foundation (“Captain Planet”), a registered non-profit 501(c)3 organization based at 133 Luckie Street, 2nd Floor, Atlanta, GA, 30303, USA. Young Heroes, LLC is the legal entity that hosts and manages the Planeteer Alliance and accompanying training activities.
Participation in the Planeteer Alliance is intended for young people between the ages of 8-25 (the advertised age range is 10-23). Youth under the age of 18 are required to get parent/ guardian permission in the form of a completed and submitted PARTICIPANT WAIVER before creating an account. Users older than 18 years of age are required to complete and submit a PARTICIPANT WAIVER themselves before creating an account.
Users with access to this Website or Community Platform outside of this age range may include employees and affiliates of the Captain Planet Foundation, approved partners, and guardians. Any adult with direct access to youth information is required to pass a criminal background check.
If you are a parent, guardian or other person and become aware of a User between the ages of 8-25 who is using the platform without having completed and submitted a Participant Waiver, or if you have concerns about Users in the Website or Community Platform, please contact the Captain Planet Foundation team immediately by email at [email protected] or by phone at +1 404/ 522-4270.
The Planeteer Alliance connects young people from around the world who are passionate about the environment, and provides them with the training, tools, network, and community to become effective and healthy advocates for our planet.
With those important goals in mind, each participant is expected to treat others respectfully, act with integrity, and refrain from all forms of misconduct. Participant agrees that they may be dismissed from the Planeteer Alliance activities if they engage in any misconduct, with Young Heroes, LLC staff members deciding, in its sole discretion, whether Participant’s conduct warrants dismissal. Participant agrees that they will not:
Engage in any form of harassment or bullying;
Use words, phrases, symbols, images, or gestures that are offensive, hateful, threatening, violent, libelous, or pornographic;
Discriminate against any other person based on that person’s race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status;
Violate any other person’s privacy, including by the release of any other person’s private personal information or personally identifiable information (e.g., name, image, age, address, phone number, etc.);
Use any materials obtained from Young Heroes, or obtained as a result of Participant’s participation in Planeteer Alliance activities, for commercial or other personal financial gain;
Engage in any activity that is illegal or fraudulent under the laws of any state or of the United States.
Participant must report any conduct that violates this Code of Conduct to Young Heroes staff and may do so by sending an email to [email protected]
The Planeteer Alliance is an active community, which requires active members to interact on the Community Platform. An Active Account is defined as an account where the User is logging in, contributing to the Forum, contributing to Groups, registering or attending Events, etc. Any User whose Community Platform account has been inactive for 30 days will receive a notification of inactivity. A User account that has been inactive for 60 days will be suspended. A User account that has been inactive for 90 days will be removed and the User will have to go through the application process again if they want to rejoin.
If a User is reported for violation of any of the above terms of conduct, their account will be immediately suspended to investigate the issue further. If Admins determine the User has acted in violation of the Code of Conduct, the offending content will be removed, their account will be suspended for one week, and they will be required to sign another Code of Conduct before their account will be reinstated. If a User is found to be in violation of the Code of Conduct a second time, they will be removed from the platform and not permitted to re-register. Captain Planet Foundation has the sole discretion to interpret and apply these Terms and Conditions, and all questions or disputes regarding the Website will be resolved by the Captain Planet Foundation in its sole discretion. Federal and State tax liabilities are the responsibility of the customer.
The Captain Planet Foundation logo, Planeteer Alliance logo, the Website logo, and any other logos, trademarks, trade names, and copyrights associated with the Captain Planet Foundation or Young Heroes, LLC are the intellectual property of Captain Planet Foundation or are the subject of a license between Captain Planet Foundation and the applicable intellectual property owner. These Terms of Use allow you to use the Website for your personal, non-commercial use only.
This Website may provide certain social media features that allow you to: 1) link from this Website to certain third-party websites or link from your own or certain third-party websites to content on this Website; 2) send messages with certain content, or links to display content, on this Website; or, 3) allow limited portions of content on this Website to be displayed on your own or third-party websites. You may use these features solely as they are provided by us and otherwise in accordance with these Terms of Use and any other applicable laws. The Company uses a solution called “Hivebrite”, which enables the import and export of user lists and data, the management of content and events, the organization of emailing campaigns and opportunity research and sharing as well as the management of funds and contributions of any kind.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you are applying to join the Planeteer Alliance, creating an account, interacting on the Community Platform, completing a form, registering for an event, or submitting an inquiry on the Website or Community Platform.
